As a leader on the team, you leverage your advanced capabilities to challenge traditional approaches, remove barriers to success, and foster a culture of continuous innovation that helps inspire cross‐functional teams create groundbreaking solutions that address customer needs. As Senior Director, Product Management you will lead the API Marketplace product, responsible for capabilities such as the external developer portal, the API product catalog, billing, quota management, and others that support both 3rd‐party and first‐party developers. You will set and lead a vision across API Marketplace for the next generation of the third‐party and first‐party API developer platform.The API Marketplace team is responsible for making the API Developer ecosystem more valuable for both first‐party and third‐party developers by delivering the framework, platform capabilities and experiences that tie together and enhance the Chase experience. We are at the center of enabling the Chase business to deliver across multiple business lines and channels. We play a critical role in customer and regulatory trust and security, as the API Management Platform is the entry point to Chase products. We allow third‐party partners to self‐serve onboarding and client credentials through https://developer.chase.com . Finally, we have an important role to play in ensuring the Platform SLAs are met for the API Management Product with sub‐second responses.Job responsibilitiesOversees the product roadmap, vision, development, execution, risk management, and business growth targetsLeads the entire product life cycle through planning, execution, and future development by continuously adapting, developing new products and methodologies, managing risks, and achieving business targets like cost, features, reusability, and reliability to support growthCoaches and mentors the product team on best practices, such as solution generation, market research, storyboarding, mind‐mapping, prototyping methods, product adoption strategies, and product delivery, enabling them to effectively deliver on objectivesOwns product performance and is accountable for investing in enhancements to achieve business objectivesMonitors market trends, conducts competitive analysis, and identifies opportunities for product differentiationCreate, develop, and drive the roadmap for the products within the organization.Lead a team of Product Managers, partner with Engineering, UX and Data/Analytics peers, and coordinate across product areas to align on a coherent strategy to onboard and support the lifecycle of API products in the API Marketplace for both first‐party and third‐party developersEngage with partner‐facing teams, third‐party and first‐party developers to understand their needs and establish strategies based on their needs to enhance their interactions with Chase APIs.Making product decisions using data analytics and understanding product usage patternsLeading product management with a passion for people leadership rooted in helping your team do their best work, hiring, and performance mentoringApplying frameworks to balance technical debt reduction with introducing innovationsRequired qualifications, capabilities, and skills8+ years of experience or equivalent expertise delivering products, projects, or technology applicationsExtensive knowledge of the product development life cycle, technical design, and data analyticsProven ability to influence the adoption of key product life cycle activities including discovery, ideation, strategic development, requirements definition, and value managementExperience driving change within organizations and managing stakeholders across multiple functionsBachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent practical experience8+ years of professional experience in product leadership or 8+ years with an advanced degreeExperience building, scaling, and managing product management teams and working with cross‐functional teams.Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skillsRecognized thought leader within a related field8+ years of professional experience with product management in software/web technologies.Experience with products related to APIs, SDKs, Developer Platforms or Authentication.Experience engaging stakeholders across an organization to set strategy and align on priorities.Technical understanding to work with code, Postman, and understand trade‐offs across different APIs, and chart the best path forward.Passion for building high‐quality user experiences and a commitment to product excellence.Chase is a leading financial services firm, helping nearly half of America's households and small businesses achieve their financial goals through a broad range of financial products.
