Event Director at Town and Country Event Rentals San Diego, CA

Event Director at Town and Country Event Rentals, San Diego, CATown and Country is looking for an Event Director to join our team. Responsible for development and maintenance of sales accounts in event rentals, while ensuring the highest level of client satisfaction. The right candidate will be a team player who can work in a fast-paced environment.Duties & ResponsibilitiesEffectively acquire and develop new customers by direct contact.Maintain and grow client relationships for long term account sales.Develop additional business through extraordinary customer service and rapport building, as well as managing existing client accounts.Prepare and execute customer sales orders.Involvement in creative aspects of event design.Fully involved in preproduction, production, installation for events.Oversee and direct Signature drivers and helpers for installation and set-up.Maintain required record keeping and reporting of all sales and service activities.Attend mandatory sales meetings and training sessions, as required.Compose and respond to all correspondence (electronic, mail, phone) in a timely manner.Perform other related duties as required.Detect and eliminate or minimize safety hazards.Accurately record and communicate customer orders.Travel throughout Southern California to various locations for event set-ups.Manage a book of business.Knowledge, Skills & AbilitiesAbility to manage installation crews of various sizes on different event sites.Extensive knowledge of Town and Country's rental inventory.Familiarity with tent installation, electrical requirements for off-site locations.Thorough knowledge of city/county/state ordinances, restrictions, permits related to upcoming events.Effectively communicate in person with clients, coordinators, vendors, security, and Signature personnel.Meet or exceed required sales goals, expectations, and objectives.Work on a team yet be a self-starter in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.Effectively communicate orally and in writing, and make effective sales presentations with key decision makers within the event rental industry.Analyze and creatively solve problems.Comfortable with conducting consultative sales calls.Develop relationships and maintain an active presence in the Event Rental community.Promote Town and Country as a leader in Event Rentals.Make sales presentations to key prospects and customers, positively influencing demand for the company's service.Possess superior organization skills and display excellent time-management skills.Measure and diagram event sites accurately, noting all obstacles, potential conflicts, zoning restrictions and requirements.Knowledge of modern office procedures and methods, including telephone communications, office systems, and record keeping.Knowledge of modern business communication, including style and format of letters, memoranda, minutes, and reports.Skilled use of a personal computer and various software packages.Establish priorities, work independently, and proceed with objectives without supervision.Handle and resolve recurring problems.Education and ExperienceTwo years of prior sales experience within the Event Rental Industry.Extensive product knowledge of Event Rentals.Proven and successful sales skills.High School Diploma or equivalent.Flexible schedule (must be able to work weekends).Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.Excellent communication skills.Excellent time-management skills.Valid California driver license (Class C) with an acceptable driving record.Rental equipment knowledge (Tenting, lighting, tables, chairs and more).Event industry experience preferred.Job Type: Full-timePay: $75,000.00 - $100,000.00 per yearBenefitsDental insuranceEmployee discountFlexible spending accountHealth insuranceLife insurancePaid time offVision insuranceScheduleEvenings as neededMonday to FridayWeekends as neededAbility to RelocateSan Diego, CA: Relocate before starting work (Required)Work Location: In personJ-18808-Ljbffr
