Our team is made up of strategists, engineers, designers, and creators focused on delivering modern technology solutions to complex mission needs.Job Summary:We are seeking an experienced Appian Developer to provide technical leadership, solution design, and hands-on development support for complex BPM-based applications. This role focuses on designing business logic, process flows, UI screens, and database interactions within Appian while supporting the full software development lifecycle. The ideal candidate will have strong Appian development experience, solid SQL skills, Agile experience, and the ability to mentor junior developers in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.Key Responsibilities:Design, develop, and maintain Appian BPM solutions, including process models, business logic, UI screens, and plug-insWork closely with Business Analysts to gather requirements, prototype solutions, and validate user story acceptance criteriaReview Appian development efforts and sign off on design and implementationDevelop SQL queries, update data models, and apply database best practices including indexing, triggers, and data structure designPerform unit testing, debugging, and technical problem resolutionCoordinate with team members to ensure proper implementation of fixes, testing, and configuration managementManage daily work within Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, and BambooPartner with DevOps team members to support timely and reliable releases to the customerEnsure applications maintain data integrity, security, and best-practice standardsMentor junior BPM developers and support team capability growthProvide technical, managerial, and administrative direction for highly complex systems and business process solutionsQualifications:Appian software development experienceExperience with BPM platforms such as Appian, JBoss BPMS, Activiti, Oracle BPM, IBM BPM, or PegaCurrent Appian Associate Developer or Senior Developer certificationExperience using Appian add-on tools such as Expression Unit Tests, Deployment Automation Manager, FitNesse, SAIL UI, or Smart ServicesExperience with Appian 7.x and/or 20.x design and implementationAbility to translate software requirements into Appian applications and prototypesStrong SQL and database development skillsUnderstanding of web development and design languagesHands-on experience with Agile software development methodologiesStrong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong interpersonal and customer service skillsAbility to work independently, manage priorities, and adapt to changing environmentsActive Secret clearanceBenefits: Comprehensive Medical, Dental, and Vision Plans (Healthcare benefits are 100% employer-paid for employees only)Life InsurancePaid Time Off (Flexible/Combined PTO, Bereavement Leave, 11 Company Paid Holidays)401K Retirement Plan with employer matchProfessional Development Training Reimbursement.
