Technical Training Manager

Technical Training ManagerPosition Overview:The Technical Training Manager leads design and delivery of technical training programs across all operating areas. Determines training objectives by conducting analysis of overall needs and specific skill or knowledge gaps. This position is instrumental in maintaining Flowco Surface Equipment's place as an industry leader in delivering reliable and innovative compression solutions. Day to day tasks will vary, but may include:Encourage and promote a strong Safety Culture. Maintain a safe work environment.Maintains knowledge and practical experience of the best practices relating to operation and maintenance of compressor packages.Ability to assimilate complex ideas and data, distilling into presentations or procedures for distribution internally and external to the company.Develops technical training material for use in training service technicians and other company personnel.Train service technicians on proper and safe operation and maintenance of compressor packages.Coordinates technical training events provided by vendors and/or consultants.Assesses the knowledge and skill level of service technicians, identifying gaps.Manage competency development program and maintain accurate, up to date files for each employee to track technical progressStays abreast of industry practices and trends, including attending training as necessaryCollaborates with operations and engineering leadership to establish proper maintenance practices for compressor packages.Serve as a technical resource for company personnel to support reliable operations, establish maintenance practices, diagnose problems, optimize processes, and train technicians.Provide technical expertise to aid in Root Cause Failure Analyses.In cooperation with team, aid the development, validation, implementation, and maintenance of SOPs and work instructions.Promote a collaborative and Continuous Improvement Culture.Adhere to company policy, procedures, and rules.Maintain a positive, team-oriented attitude.QualificationsBachelor of Science in Engineering or related technical experience preferred10+ years of Gas Compressor Operating Experience10+ years of field startup and/or troubleshooting experienceExperience reading and interpreting blueprints/drawings (Gas, P&IDs)Completion of Ariel Basic Training SchoolCompletion of Ariel Mechanics SchoolCompletion of Caterpillar and Cummins Mechanics or Engine Diagnostics SchoolsStrong attention to detail, observation, and organizational skillsDemonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervisionExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to meet deadlines and established goals and objectives in a fast-paced environmentPhysical RequirementsAbility to stand, sit and/or walk on a hard surface as well as safely bend, stoop, reach, climb steps, and use ladder for long periods of timeAbility to lift up to 25 poundsVision required: 20/40 with or without corrective lenses to accurately read all related distribution documentsWorking ConditionsOffice Environment with controlled temperaturesFrequent overnight travel as needed with extended staysVehicle Environment with controlled temperaturesSubject to outdoor environment with widely varying temperatures and weather conditions
