Power Systems Technician

Job Description Join Oracle's Data Center Facilities Engineering Team as a Power Systems Technician, where your expertise will be instrumental in ensuring the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of our power generation systems, including diesel and gas generators. Responsibilities Conduct hands-on maintenance, testing, troubleshooting, and repairs on power generation systems, including diesel/gas generators, UPS units, and switchgear. Operate, monitor, and test emergency power systems during routine inspections and power events, guaranteeing reliability and uptime. Utilize digital facility management systems to efficiently complete and process maintenance tasks. Keep accurate logs, maintenance records, and inspection reports for all power generation equipment. Perform visual and technical inspections to identify any system deficiencies, abnormal conditions, or safety hazards. Promptly escalate operational or equipment issues to facility leadership for resolution. Ensure strict adherence to all electrical safety codes, environmental regulations, and internal standards. Participate in 24/7 shift coverage as part of the rotating operations team, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of preventative and predictive maintenance programs for power systems. Minimum Qualifications: 3+ years of experience in operating, maintaining, or repairing power generation systems. Able to work at heights and safely utilize ladders and elevated platforms. Capacity to lift or move objects weighing 50 pounds or more. Capability to work in confined spaces and stand for extended periods. Preferred Qualifications: 5+ years of experience in mission-critical power generation environments. Certifications or licenses in electrical systems, power generation, or related fields. Strong understanding of generator systems, including fuel, cooling, and control components. Familiarity with monitoring systems used for power generation and distribution. Ability to interpret one-line diagrams, schematics, and electrical drawings. Knowledge of industry standards such as NFPA 110, NEC, or IEEE related to power generation. Salary and Benefits: US Hiring Range: $87,000 to $178,100 per annum, with potential eligibility for bonuses and equity.
