Project Manager (Contract) – Hyperscale Data Center ProjectsPosition Summary:We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to support the delivery of large-scale hyperscale data center projects across Texas. This contract position will be responsible for leading project execution from preconstruction through commissioning, ensuring that safety, schedule, budget, quality, and client objectives are achieved. The successful candidate will coordinate with Owner/Operator stakeholders, general contractors, trade partners, engineering teams, and commissioning personnel to drive successful project outcomes in a fast-paced mission-critical environment.Key Responsibilities:Manage all phases of hyperscale data center construction projects, including planning, execution, monitoring, and closeout.Serve as the primary point of contact between project stakeholders, contractors, consultants, and client representatives.Develop, maintain, and monitor project schedules, budgets, risk registers, and progress reports.Lead project meetings, status reviews, and stakeholder communications.Coordinate design reviews, constructability assessments, and change management processes.Ensure compliance with Google standards, contract requirements, local regulations, and project-specific procedures.Monitor contractor performance and drive accountability for safety, quality, schedule, and cost objectives.Review and evaluate RFIs, submittals, change orders, and contractor claims.Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies to minimize impacts.Support procurement activities and long-lead equipment tracking.Coordinate commissioning, testing, turnover, and project closeout activities.Maintain accurate project documentation and reporting for client and leadership review.Promote a culture of safety and operational excellence across all project activities.Required Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Project Management, Architecture, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience.Minimum 7–10 years of project management experience in large-scale construction environments.Demonstrated experience delivering mission-critical facilities, hyperscale data centers, semiconductor facilities, industrial plants, or similar complex infrastructure projects.Strong understanding of construction project delivery methods, scheduling, budgeting, and contract administration.Experience managing multiple stakeholders in highly regulated and schedule-driven environments.Proficiency with project management and scheduling tools such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, Procore, and Microsoft Office Suite.Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.Ability to travel between project sites throughout Texas as required.Preferred Qualifications:Previous experience supporting Google, Meta, Microsoft, AWS, or other hyperscale data center programs.PMP (Project Management Professional) certification.Knowledge of mission-critical MEP systems, commissioning processes, and operational readiness requirements.Experience with Lean Construction, Last Planner System, and pull-planning methodologies.Familiarity with data center commissioning and turnover processes.OSHA 30 certification or equivalent safety training.Key Competencies:Client relationship managementExecutive-level communicationSchedule and budget controlRisk managementContract administrationTeam leadershipStrategic planningChange managementQuality assuranceSafety leadershipWork Environment:Contract-based position supporting active hyperscale construction projects in Texas.Combination of on-site project management and stakeholder coordination activities.May require extended periods at construction sites and occasional travel between multiple project locations.Fast-paced environment with demanding schedules and critical project milestones.Contract Details:Contract Duration: TBDLocation: Texas (multiple project sites)Employment Type: Independent Contractor / Contract ConsultantCompetitive hourly or daily rate based on experience and qualifications
