The employee will utilize the nursing process by use of technology, therapeutic intervention, evidence-based practice, and coordination of care with other health team members.Examples of Job Responsibilities:Conduct patient work-upAssist primary care providerAssist with medical procedures (e.g. labs, dispersion of medications, etc.)Assess patient vital signsDocument patient EMR information (e.g. patient vitals, medication reconciliation, etc.)Provide assistance with patient referrals and authorizationsAssist in coverage of additional Goshen Medical Center facilities with daily operations as requiredMedical office administration (e.g. patient check-in, patient check-out, etc.)Supervision of RN/LPN/CNA/CMA clinical staff, as assigned.Other assigned dutiesCredentials:North Carolina RN or LPN LicenseCPR/BLS CertificationLicensure and Certification(s) must be current and must be maintained as a condition of employment.Clinical Experience & Skills Requirements:2-years Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse experience in a clinical setting (e.g. health care clinic, hospital, etc.)Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writingBasic computer skillsAbility to multi-task and provide administrative office assistance if necessary (e.g. answer phones, fax documents, call back patients, etc.)Preferred Clinical Experience & Skills:Phlebotomy experience (preferred but not required)Bilingual (Spanish) (preferred but not required)Electronic Medical Record experience (preferred but not required)Physical Requirements:Must be able to work in a dynamic and active environmentPosition may require long periods of standing or walkingRegular and recurring back bending may be required
