This assignment is intended to be 6 months in duration.Our team supplies critical materials to the ultra-high purity semiconductor market. Our technology enables the latest chip technology and its applications, including IoT, AI, machine learning and 5G. Specifically, we make products that filter and purify process chemistries used in semi processing. Demand for our products is rising rapidly and we are looking for someone who can help us meet the needs of our customers. As part of Entegris' Manufacturing Operations team, the Process Engineer Co-Op will work closely with the production team to drive initiatives to increase output, reduce scrap and rework, eliminate waste, improve overall efficiency, and ensure quality and safety are built into processes at every step. This position is a1stshift fulltime position.What You'll Do: Develop, lead and implement projects which improve operational efficiencytodeliver savings which support corporate objectives, suchason-time delivery, productivity, scrap reduction, etc.Maintain presence in the manufacturing area to provide sustaining manufacturing support. Resolve day to day production/process issues. Drives issues to root cause.Will be area owner in assembly and work closely with operators, other engineers, R&D, NPI and quality team.Improve maturity of process data and apply statistical methods to develop a deeper understanding of our process with the goal of achieving higher yields and efficiencySupport the development of lean manufacturing processes, continuous improvement, standard work, problem solving, value stream mapping, training, and employee involvementApply manufacturing best practices to drive safety, quality,reliability,and predictability into everything we do.Work with teams to identify problems, analyzeinformation,and develop and implement process solutions.Assist in directing and controlling processes in accordance with defined policies and proceduresWhat We Seek: Motivated and self-directed team player with good interpersonal skills.Must have ability to reach out, communicate and influence personnel at all levels within theorganization.Demonstrated hands on problem solving utilizing good engineering principlesAbility to work with a diverse team in terms of background and skill sets to achieve greater levels of efficiency and manufacturing robustnessAbility to manage time and balance short term needs of day-to-day production environment with long term project deliverables and timelinesEmbodiment of a sense of ownership and passion of the process and driving improvements through creative solutionsDeveloping and helping to implement the future state of manufacturing excellence in our factoryDesired Major(s) & Graduation Year: Bachelor or Master student graduating 2027 or 2028Mechanical Engineering.Eligibility: Must be a currently enrolled studentAvailable to work 40 hours a week, M-F (8a-5p) beginning in June, working through December Must be familiar with the university's requirements to participate in a co-op programEntegris is not currently hiring candidates for co-ops/internships who will need, now or at any time in the future, Entegris sponsorship through the H1-B lottery.Why Work at EntegrisLead.
