Job Title: CVOR Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day 4x10-Hour Hours per Shift: 10 hours Experience: Minimum 1 year of nursing experience required License: Pending license accepted Certifications: BLS required; ACLS, CNOR, PALS, TNCC preferred Must-Have: Scrub experience is not required. First-timers accepted. Only call shift requirements for weekends. Will float between like units, including the Main OR. No locals accepted. All time off requests must be included at the time of submission. Description: This position requires scrub experience, but it is not mandatory. The shift is four 10-hour days. One year of experience is required. Weekend call shifts are required at least once a month and five weekday evenings per month. The candidate will be expected to float to the Main Operating Room. Certain certifications are preferred but not necessary. Interventional procedures involving CABG, AVR, AAA, MVR, and minimally invasive cardiac procedures will be part of the role. The unit utilizes EPIC for charting. The position will provide care to patients across various age groups, including adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. Additional skills in cardiovascular and thoracic procedures will be valuable in this role. Patient ratios are typically one-to-one during the day shift. Travelers are expected to float within the hospital and between similar units based on skill set.
