The development, implementation, and evaluation of public exhibition-related and studio programming (on-site and online) for all ages in the pursuit of lifelong learning through the exploration of art in the Art Museum.

The Museum Curator must also present the history of America's space and missile programs through tours, briefings, and community speaking events to diverse audiences. The Museum Curator should be able to coordinate and execute a variety of projects for the Museum in a timely manner and with a keen eye to detail.

Maintain ongoing relationship with the Metropolitan Museum of Art, which includes routine communications, site visit coordination, and loan renewal oversight. The Assistant Director of Collections is also responsible for the care and conservation of Landmarks’ public art collection, comprised of more than fifty works of modern and contemporary art in a range of media.

The Metropolitan Museum of Art, one of the world's finest museums, seeks an Educator in Charge, Teaching and Learning. In a typical year, the Metropolitan Museum of Art has over 6.5 million onsite visitors and, since March 2020, has seen over 10 million online visitors to our virtual, hybrid, and in-person programs and experiences.

Strong knowledge of visitor engagement theory and practice including current research on emerging technology and storytelling in museum and exhibition environments. The Manager of Interpretation provides detailed project management for a museum-wide Interpretation planning process, and shepherds Interpretation resources from concept through completion.

Master's degree in museum studies, art history or arts administration or equivalent training and experience. Working closely with the Director of External Affairs, the Assistant Director oversees all fundraising at the Museum, including foundation grants, major gifts, annual fund, and cultivation events.

The Museum has partnered with a grassroots committee in our community to work on creating the proposed Stark County Black History Museum and hire a Curator of Black History to begin this important work.
