Are there nurse aids on this unit: Techs are generally staffed (census/staffing dependent) ratios: 1:8-16. - Is there a Charge Nurse on each shift: 1 charge nurse every shift. Are there Tele/Monitor Techs on this unit: Tele tech is located in the ICU. They watch all 3rd floor patients, 4th floor & some ER. RNs are required to be able to read the strips on the monitors when they assess the patient, but telemetry is always watching.
