SUMMARY Under the direction of the radiologist, the MRI technologist performs total body imaging for neonatal, pediatric, and adult patients in various body planes, producing quality images for diagnostic interpretation.

The MRI Technologist cares for patients while operating equipment to produce high quality images for radiologist interpretation. In addition the MRI Technologist is responsible for EMR/PACS navigation, general patient care, positioning patients, providing procedure information and executing proper imaging protocol/technique for all examinations.

This includes competency in interpreting diagnostic tests, including but not exclusive to, lab results, electrocardiogram (EKG), and imaging studies such as x-rays.
