The Forklift Mechanic must also be able to perform tests, isolate equipment issues and troubleshoot issues before the removal and replacement of failed components. The Forklift Mechanic is responsible for providing shop technical support of forklifts, walkie stackers, electric pallet jacks, scissor lifts, floor scrubbers, and other PITs. The Forklift Mechanic is also tasked with understanding, developing, initiating, and maintaining the preventive and planned maintenance aspects of the forklifts and other PITs throughout the Atlanta Syrup Plant production facility.
