- The Environmental Wastewater Operator will work with the following equipment: Acid Waste Neutralization (AWN), Fluoride (F) Treatment system, Mixed Metals Treatment System, pH/F meters, equalization systems, pumps, mixers, bag filters, filter press, clarifier, sand filter, and other waste treatment equipment (possibly resin columns, regeneration system).
- An Environmental Wastewater Technician has the responsibility of operating the waste treatment system under routine and non-routine conditions.
- Wastewater Operators will undergo Chemical Handling training prior to the start of performing these duties and will actively participate in ongoing hazardous waste and chemical handling training.
- Maintain process equipment by replacement pumps, filters, and mixers, empty the filter press, and transfer cake to containers for disposal
- Complete metal precipitation/treatment and monitor wastewater effluent by sampling and analysis
