- The Vermont Department of Labor is seeking applicants with experience doing investigative work, knowledge of unemployment insurance, data evaluation and interpretation, customer service, and/or report writing to join the Fraud Unit within the Unemployment Insurance Division.
- The UI Fraud Investigator is an entry-level position that is responsible for conducting fraud detection activities and suspected fraud investigations involving current and former recipients of benefits in the Department's Unemployment Insurance Programs, including the Pandemic Unemployment Assistance Program.
- Determining the potential for successful prosecution or payment recovery, works with legal counsel and the State's Attorney, and may testify in court or in an Administrative Hearing.
- The Fraud Unit staff work in-person at the Vermont Department of Labor Central Office in Montpelier, and the successful applicant will be expected to work on-site, full-time, Monday through Friday.
