- The Transportation Safety Manager will be responsible for having a clear understanding of DOT, Fleet, Company, Departmental, and general Safety compliance laws/policies.
- Draft and implement transportation safety programs and policies to ensure driver safety and mitigate exposure to transportation risk.
- Advise and direct the Transportation Safety Team on functions necessary to execute safety programs and driver adherence to policy.
- Conduct internal investigations for motor vehicle and safety-related accidents by taking statements and conducting review of systems including dash cam, GPS, and other resources.
- DOT/Fleet Compliance -Knowledge of DOT compliance principles including commercial vehicle regulations-FMCSA, Driver Qualification Files, OSHA standards, and Workers Compensation.
