Job Description AECOM is seeking a Traffic Monitoring Specialist / Dispatcher / Call Center to be based in Detroit, MI . This is for a swing shift position (1pm to 9pm) with some weekends and holiday hours required. Position Details: Position is based out of client location near downtown Detroit, MI. <ul><li>Updating, and responding to scheduled and unscheduled traffic events and congestion with devices such as closed-circuit camera TV systems/ cameras, detectors, etc.</li> <li>Act like an emergency dispatcher within a call center environment dispatching responders via a two-way radio system to assist motorists, respond to events and other activities that require timely and efficient responses.</li> <li>Perform data entry functions.</li> <li>Ability to fluently work in multiple PC applications simultaneously.</li> <li>Possess exceptional organizational skills to effectively prioritize multiple tasks in real time and in potentially serious situations.</li> <li>Possess exceptional communications skills both in written & verbal forms to effectively receive, document & relay information from numerous sources.</li> <li>Works under direct supervision performing moderately complex technical work utilizing instructions, examples, and results from computer systems.</li> <li>Perform critical thinking functions and assessments and make decisions based upon circumstances.</li> <li>24/7/365 Environment</li> </ul>Qualifications Minimum Requirements: <ul><li>HS + no experience</li> <li>Background and drug/alcohol screening required</li> <li>Willing to work 24/7/365 operation - must be willing to work outside of standard business hours</li> </ul>Preferred Qualifications: <ul><li>2 or more years of experience of surveillance and or CCTV monitoring</li> <li>Strong attention to detail</li> <li>Customer/Client relationship experience</li> <li>Ability to multi-task</li> </ul>Additional Information <ul><li>Sponsorship is not offered for this position</li> </ul>\ Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications.
