TEST ENGINEER (FALCON TEST) At SpaceX, our commitment to reliability begins with design but is realized through exhaustive testing at the Rocket Development Facility in McGregor, TX. In order to eliminate anomalies and ensure maximum product quality, the test team pushes our hardware to its limits in as close to flight like conditions as possible.
- They develop test requirements, handle the test articles, operate test stand systems, conduct tests, analyze data to confirm performance and inform the design/production process.
- RESPONSIBILITIES: Test rocket hardware to determine suitability for flight Provide on-console engineering support for technicians during daily test stand and hangar operations Perform real-time and post-test data review to evaluate the performance of test article and stand systems (fluid, structural, thermal, electrical).
- You may also accrue 3 weeks of paid vacation and will be eligible for 10 or more paid holidays per year.
- ITAR REQUIREMENTS: To conform to U.S. Government export regulations, applicant must be a (i) U.S. citizen or national, (ii) U.S. lawful, permanent resident (aka green card holder), (iii) Refugee under 8 U.S.C. § 1157, or (iv) Asylee under 8 U.S.C. § 1158, or be eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
