- The Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences ( ) at Northwestern University is seeking a full-time, tenure-track Investigator at the rank of Assistant Professor, who use clinical neuroscience research methods to study mechanisms and/or treatments for affective psychopathology.
- The faculty member will join a large, vibrant, multidisciplinary and highly collaborative community of neuroscientists and clinicians in a leading academic medical center located in the heart of downtown Chicago.
- We particularly encourage applicants using neuroimaging, neurostimulation, human electrophysiology, human experimental psychopharmacology, or psychoneuroimmunology approaches to study psychopathological mechanisms underlying affective, substance, and/or trauma-related disorders.
- Responsibilities include creating an internationally recognized research program in their specific area of clinical neuroscience, as well as mentoring students, fellows, and other trainees.
- There are numerous opportunities for collaboration with researchers in the Department of Psychiatry and other Feinberg (e.g., Medical Social Sciences; Department of Preventive Medicine) and Evanston campus (e.g., Department of Psychology) departments, as well as other Chicago-area institutions.
