From initial planning to final installation, you will play a key role in the functional design and implementation of these systems, while continuously seeking opportunities for process improvement. Responsibilities:- Engineer, design, and program integrated access control, surveillance, and HMI/PLC control systems.- Develop HMI using Wonderware software.- Design system and network architecture.- Draft hardware and panel schematics.- Analyze and develop solutions for integrating disparate systems.- Produce customer and in-house specifications and related documentation.- Provide technical support to customers and internal team members. Preferred Skills:- Proficiency in HMI or SCADA software, particularly Wonderware Intouch and Archestra.- Experience programming PLCs, preferably Omron, Modicon Momentum, and/or Allen Bradley 5000.- Knowledge of electrical control systems design, with Autocad experience as a plus.- Strong computer skills.- Understanding of networking principles and communications.- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.- Familiarity with video, intercom, and access control systems is advantageous.- Experience in VB.NET or C# programming is a plus. Are You Qualified or Have the Experience?- Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related technical field, or equivalent work experience.- Proficiency in 2D AutoDesk or similar CAD applications.- Minimum of 2 years of hands-on PLC and/or HMI programming experience.- Ability to pass government background checks as required by clients.- Willingness to travel approximately 15% to 20% of the time, including occasional overnight stays.
