- The Sushi Cook is responsible for preparing sushi and other various food products, ensuring the quality and presentation of food products prepared, performing all station functions necessary in the prep and cooking areas, providing the highest quality of service to customers and associates at all times, and performing all other responsibilities as directed by the business or as assigned by management.
- This is a non-exempt position and typically reports to the Sushi Chef depending upon local requirements.
- Practices excellent food safety and sanitation practices and complies with HACCP standards
- Operates kitchen utensils and/or equipment used for heating, weighing, measuring, mixing, washing, peeling, cutting, grinding, stirring, straining, slicing, assembling and kneading of food products
- Ensures proper food handling procedures are followed for wrapping, labeling, dating, stocking, storing, rotating and checking temperature of products
