- Due to their growth, they have a newly created position for a Supplier Quality Engineer.
- What you will do: The Supplier Quality Engineer assess and qualifies new suppliers, ensures all aspects of the supplier agreement are closed prior to the awarding of a new business, and solves process and design problems with suppliers during development/pre-launch.
- The role reports on the supplier development program status, manages supplier part approval (PPAP) to completion, and establishes quality targets with suppliers.
- The position monitors their performance in comparison to these targets, coordinates supplier quality performance evaluation and workshops, and conducts audits, while also managing supplier issues through on-site involvement, effective communication and collaborative, method-based problem solving.
- Additionally, the Supplier Quality Engineer works with commodity buyers to identify and implement cost savings and VA/VE opportunities.
