- Position summary: The Substance Abuse Counselor assumes designated responsibility to provide and coordinate substance abuse assessments, treatment planning and service delivery tailored to the individual needs of Members with co-occurring disorders of mental illness and substance use.
- Also, the Substance Abuse Counselor assumes responsibilities of other functions such as providing treatment, rehabilitation, care management and support services within the team.
- Knowledge of substance use principles, techniques and practices, and their application to complex casework, group work, and community problems.
