- Based in Fort Worth, TX and reporting to the Principal, the Student Support Coordinator will provide direct educationally related restorative, behavioral health, mental health, education and social services directly to students (general education and special education), as well as provide consultation, professional development and coaching to school leaders and teachers regarding issues of trauma, mental health, behavior, and community resources.
- The Student Support Coordinator will partner closely with the Associate Director of Student Services, school psychologists, behavior intervention specialists, special education case managers, school leaders, general education teachers and families to conduct assessments, provide direct mental health services, and support with ongoing implementation and coaching of strategies to help students succeed in their classrooms.
- Collaborate with and be a part of any coordinated meetings (IEP meetings, SST meetings, MTSS meetings).
- Provide professional development trainings to school staff as-needed regarding best practices in trauma-informed education, social-emotional supports, restorative, crisis intervention, and community resources.
- Maintain a close working relationship with other members of the Network Support ISE Team (NeST—Rocketship’s centralized office that operates in support of its schools and regions) to ensure exchange of best practices, coordination of efforts, and general support for the campus and Integrated Special Education department
