- The Statistical Data Analyst (Data Analyst III) provides key statistical, data research, analytics and reporting functions for the Fraud Analytics and Data Operations (FADO) Division of the Office of Inspector General (OIG) to support program investigations, audits, and inspections related to suspected fraud, waste and abuse.
- This position is supervised by and reports to the Director of Statistical Analysis & Data Visualization/Chief Statistician for Data Operations and works under general supervision with limited latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.
- Utilizes Microsoft Office and other data related software tools such as SAS, MS Access, Excel and VBA to increase the efficiency of OIG processes in investigations, audits and reports.
- Responsible for the preparation and completion of a variety of reports, studies, and other deliverables containing statistical data analysis results of health and human services data related to Medicaid, CHIP, SNAP, TANF and other social services programs.
- Knowledge of or familiarity with social science research methods, statistical techniques, mathematics, rules-based logic, and their application to research analysis.
