- The Senior Police Supervisor reports to a Captain of the Department of Police and Public Safety.
- The Senior Police Supervisor position of Lieutenant is a sworn law enforcement officer that serves as a supervisor with full powers of arrest and is responsible for enforcing the laws of the Local, State, and Federal Government.
- Duties may include personnel actions, internal investigations, crime prevention and analysis, responsibility for training staff, scheduling and managing officer records.
- Work is performed in accordance with departmental policy and state and federal law, supplemented with specific directions from the Police Chief and/or Deputy Chief.
- Maintains personnel actions and statistics, makes monthly reports to the appropriate reporting agencies, evaluates personnel actions, and conducts internal investigations.
