- MTSI is searching for a highly skilled Sr. Director for Missile Defense and Navy Weapon System Research & Development based in our Huntsville AL or Alexandria, VA locations.
- This senior leader partners with the AMD EVP and senior AMD and corporate leadership to create and implement integrated, capability-driven growth in the missile defense and Navy weapon system R&D markets.
- Responsibilities include: Identifying and capturing future growth opportunities in the Missile Defense and Navy Weapon System R&D markets including opportunities associated with the Missile Defense Agency (MDA), Army Aviation and Missile Center (AvMC), U.S. Army Space and Missile Defense Command (SMDC), Naval Surface Warfare Centers (Crane, Dahlgren, etc.)
- Navy PEO Integrated Weapon Systems (IWS), Navy Strategic Systems Program (SSP) and Conventional Prompt Strike (CPS), Naval Research Lab (NRL), Department of Energy Labs (LLNL, LANL, SNL), and Combatant Commands working integrated missile defense capabilities (ballistic, cruise, and hypersonic missile defense).
- Providing technical leadership and contract management oversight for AMD engineers and analysts supporting missile defense and Navy weapon system R&D at MTSI facilities in Huntsville, AL; Colorado Springs, CO; Crane, IN; and Alexandria, VA. Helping define MTSI R&D laboratory infrastructure requirements and recommending differentiated capability enhancements/upgrades to foster continued contract expansion, new business wins, and increased MTSI multi-level security facility utilization.
