- Position Summary The College of Agricultural and Life Sciences and University of Idaho Extension invites applications for the role of Soil Stewards Farm Manager for a 4-month, seasonal appointment.
- This position is pivotal to the operation, management, and success of the 3-acre Soil Stewards Farm, a beacon of sustainable, regenerative, and organic agricultural practices located at the edge of the UI Moscow campus.
- Our farm not only produces high-quality organic food for Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) programs but also serves as a vital educational and research hub, supporting the Soil Steward Club’s efforts in food production and marketing, alongside facilitating research and extension activities.
- Responsibilities Job Duty Function Farm management and operations Job Duties/Responsibilities Direct and oversee all farm operations, including managing or performing day-to-day farm activities.
- Percentage Of Time 15% Essential/Marginal Essential Job Duty Function Collaboration and planning Job Duties/Responsibilities Collaborate with Soil and Water Systems faculty supervisor to manage farm according to long-term plans and goals.
