Job Type Full-time Description Avtec Finishing, a leader in the metal finishing industry, is looking for a Shipping / Receiving Clerk. Preference to someone with prior experience. This is a 2nd shift position, however, training will be done on 1st shift (approx 6 weeks). Overview: Performs in-plant operations utilizing forklift such as loading and unloading trucks, moving raw and finished product to and from production areas, and places items in designated areas in the warehouse. Requirements <ul><li>High school diploma or GED (preferred)</li><li>1 year shipping & receiving experience (preferred)</li><li>Forklift certification is a plus</li><li>Good organizational skills and the ability to follow multiple tasks simultaneously</li><li>Strong verbal and written communication skills. This is a customer service position</li><li>Ability to maintain a regular and reliable attendance record</li><li>Consistent, legible writing skills</li><li>Basic typing and computer skills helpful</li><li>Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking the English language</li><li>Ability to lift and move 1-70 lbs. as needed</li><li>Ability to interact with customers, co-workers and supervisors in a cooperative manner</li><li>Ability to manage multiple jobs at the same time</li><li>Ability to work independently with little or no supervision</li></ul> Duties and Responsibilities: <ul><li>Locating, packaging, and shipping of finished goods to our customers. This includes attachment of all necessary documentation (certs, pack lists, labels, etc.).</li><li>Receive work from customers for processing</li><li>Receive product from our vendors and deliver to the appropriate department</li><li>Station incoming work and document in warehouse for production</li><li>Deliver scheduled orders to production floor. Pick up orders from production when complete and return to shipping department and prepare for shipment</li><li>Load completed orders on trucks, ensuring all containers included on order are included</li><li>Receive in customer product in a manner to ensure it has a safe and secure location and that order entry has correct paperwork or PO for all jobs to be entered.</li><li>Maintain accurate and accessible records on incoming and outgoing product.</li><li>Assist Department Manager in all aspects including coordinating UPS, delivery service and LTL shipments as needed</li><li>Other duties and responsibilities as assigned</li></ul> Schedule: 3p - 1a M-Th...However, training will be done 7a- 3:30p M-F for approx 6 weeks.
