- The Senior System Administrator is responsible for effective troubleshooting, operations, installation/configuration, standardization, and maintenance of Operations Technology (OT) critical infrastructure and its respective industrial control systems (ICS) hardware and software.
- Examples of such systems include Building Management Systems (BMS), Traction Power Substation (TPSS) Control & SCADA Systems, emergency telephone, and asset monitoring systems.
- The Senior Systems Administrator implements, analyzes, maintains, configures, and performs enhancements for systems and troubleshoots application problems, identifies and mitigates systems cybersecurity vulnerabilities, interacts directly with computer users, provides end-user support, account creation and management, coordinates complex activities, software and documentation control, and researches and identifies effective software and system solutions to meet agency goals.
- Interacts with internal and external customers for planning, coordination, backups, interfaces, system upgrades and; directs final end-user support for problem resolution; maintains and updates documentation, licensees, and user/system requirements; writes documentation on new and enhanced application description and functional capabilities; and prepares and updates user materials and procedures manuals.
