- APPOINTMENT TYPE: Permanent Exempt - This position is excluded by the Charter from the competitive Civil Service examination process and shall serve at the discretion of the Appointing Officer.
- Under general administrative direction, the Senior Manager of Workforce Development & Wellness will function as a senior-level manager with responsibility for managing the complex professional technical personnel work which includes, but is not limited to, personnel administration, program planning and directing, and the development of policies and procedures to ensure the section meets SFMTAs strategic goals.
- The Senior Manager of Workforce Development & Wellness plays a critical role in fostering a dynamic organization culture that values leadership and learning, integrity, commitment, and inclusion and diversity by providing the overall management of key organizational functions, such as: HR training, performance management, apprenticeships & internships, outreach, employee engagement, employee wellness and onboarding.
- Consults with division leaders to assess organizational development needs and establishes learning and organizational development priorities which are linked to the organizations strategic initiatives, goals and core values.
- Promotes the incorporation of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion practices in our work culture and agency leadership through training initiatives.
