- The Senior Accountant is responsible for developing and maintaining accounting principles, practices, and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial statements.
- The position addresses tight deadlines and a multitude of accounting activities including general ledger preparation and review, accounts payable review, financial reporting, year-end audit preparation, and the support of budget and forecast activities.
- Prepare as well as review deposits, journal entries, and reconciliations prepared by Staff Accountant.
- Learn the most critical aspects of the Staff Accountant role to provide essential coverage during absences.
- Required Education, Experience, and Abilities: 3-5 years of financial accounting or audit accounting experience Active CPA license Non-profit accounting experience Excellent time management and organizational skills Strong GAAP/internal controls knowledge Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality Highly organized and efficient in completing various projects with overlapping deadlines Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and editing of PDF files.
