- The School Health Specialist support school and community program objectives by identifying community health needs and will assist in the planning and implementation of programs and strategies designed for advancing the health of children, their families, and school community in accordance with the strategic and business objectives of AtlantiCare.
- The School Health Specialist assists local school districts in developing, organizing and executing health and wellness initiatives within the framework of the Whole School, Whole Community, Whole Child model.
- This position supports organizational goals by providing quality community and customer service, promoting health through a myriad of venues, including special events and by demonstrating a commitment to team work and cooperation.
- EDUCATION: Bachelors degree in related health education field required.
- LICENSE/CERTIFICATION: A certified health education specialist (CHES) or comparable professional development certification and/or license preferred or obtained within one year of employment.
