- The role is an opportunity for those with a background in boundary layer or observational meteorology to apply their skills in numerical problem solving, meteorology or engineering to the design and construction of efficient wind and solar energy assets.
- Applications of scanning and profiling Lidar and Sodar, particularly applications related to wind energy
- Plan and execute meteorological observation campaigns with the goal of collecting quality data from traditional meteorological stations, and/or remote sensing sodars and/or lidars.
- Design wind farm and solar arrays to optimize energy capture and/or other financial parameters subject to a variety of real-world constraints related to land use, wind turbine technology, wind resource, and balance of plant
- Experience in running wind/solar farm resource assessments and layout designs using standard industry software packages such as Windographer, OpenWind, WindPro, PlantPredict, etc.
