- Job DescriptionJob Description Job Title: Residential CounselorQualifications: Requires a Bachelors Degree (Social Work, Psychology, Human Services, Sociology or an Associate Degree in Nursing is preferred.)
- If employed in Substance Use Residential Facility, immediately submit application for Temporary Certification as an Alcohol and Drug Counselor (TCADC).
- A Central Abuse/Neglect Registry Check is required on staff working at Turning Point.
- Summary of Job Duties: The Residential Counselor provides care for persons with one of the following disabilities: Mental Illness, Mental Retardation/Developmental Delayed, and/or Chemical Dependency.
- Knowledgeable of health promotion and disease prevention and differential diagnosis and disease management as appropriate to educational level.
