- OverviewUnder supervision of the Principal Investigator, the Research Technician will conduct a variety of routine experiments by following established procedures and protocols including: mice breeding and genotyping, performing assays, tissue sectioning and staining, electrophoresis and other laboratory techniques.
- The tools and methods that are routinely employed in the lab include western blotting, PCR, transgenic animal models, animal surgery and experimental pathology, immunohistochemistry, 3D imaging with microCT and fluorescence microscopy imaging.
- What You'll DoUnder supervision of the Principal Investigator, the Research Technician will conduct a variety of routine experiments by following established procedures and protocols including: mice breeding and genotyping, performing assays, tissue sectioning and staining, electrophoresis and other laboratory techniques.
- Performs techniques such as mouse colony maintenance, genotyping, PCR, immunohistochemistry, electrophoresis, and others
- Assists in lab operations by monitoring and requesting supplies, maintaining equipment, ensuring lab space cleanliness and organization and following laboratory safety protocols.
