- The Assistant Clinical Research Coordinator will be responsible for providing support to Dr. Michael Geschwind’s clinical research programs in several areas, including but not limited to: Huntington’s disease, spinocerebellar ataxias (SCAs), CADASIL, multiple system atrophy (MSA), rapidly progressive dementias (including prion diseases, such as Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease, and antibody-mediated dementias), and other neurodegenerative diseases.
- The Memory and Aging Center (MAC) is a clinical research unit within the UCSF Department of Neurology that investigates the clinical (neurological, cognitive, behavioral, neuroanatomic) characteristics of various neurodegenerative diseases.
- The Primary Investigator’s (PI) research within the MAC focuses on the decision-making processes in patients with frontotemporal dementia (FTD), Alzheimer's Disease (AD), primary progressive aphasia (PPA), and other neurodegenerative disorders.
- Experience in coordinating clinical research studies, as a research assistant, assistant clinical research coordinator, or clinical research associate.
- Previous experience working in clinical research; familiar with regulatory affairs, and Good Clinical Practice (GCP); knowledge of research protocols, clinical research processes, including medical chart reviews, and regulations involving human subjects.
