- Job DescriptionPsychiatric Registered NurseMinimum Qualifications:Possession of a current license to practice as a registered nurse issued by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing; or possession of a non-renewable temporary practice permit issued by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing.
- Demonstrates integration of general nursing practice with intervention for emotionally ill patients based on approved Standards of care and practice as well as the patient's treatment planIdentifies and utilizes effective de-escalation measures as alternative to seclusion/restraintsProvides for patient safety at all times.
- Aware of patient safety measures (i.e. contraband, restraint/seclusion, suicide precautions).
- Maintains routine regular rounds (according to Facility policy) 1:1, precautionary monitoring (suicidal, elopement, contraband, seclusion/restraint), reporting and recoding patient physical and emotional status, activity and behaviorDemonstrates knowledge of milieu management in daily practice.
