- Patient Care Type: This is a closed adult unit which provides specialized psychiatric services for patients suffering from mood disorders, underlying anxiety, and depression.
- Nursing Team Roles: Treatment consists of medications, psychotherapy and other strategies.
- Treatment approaches may include: behavioral activation, cognitive behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, mindfulness, dialectic behavioral therapy, occupational therapy and recreational therapy.
- For new grad nurses: All newly graduated Registered Nurses with less than 12 months of practice experience, hired into a scheduled FTE Registered Nurse position on the Rochester campus of Mayo Clinic are automatically enrolled in the Nurse Residency Program.
