- The Richmond Behavioral Health Authority is currently hiring for a full-time Registered Nurse (RN) to perform difficult skilled human support and administrative work administering daily medications, providing daily medical assessments, ordering medications, managing medication administration records, transcribing doctors orders, drawing blood, documenting activities, attending clinical staffing and training meetings, and related work as apparent or assigned.
- Supervises staff on assigned shift; oversees monitors and manages unit operations in the absence of the Unit/Nursing Supervisor in collaboration with on call medical and clinical staff.
- Draws blood and performs urine drug screens; labels specimens via computer printout; administers and interprets TB tests; processes gel top blood tubes via centrifuge; assists, monitors and tracks lab results.
- Refers clients to resources in the community for housing, dental clinics, NA and AA groups, food pantry, health clinics, primary care physicians, library for research or computer use, etc.
- Possession of a current Virginia license as a Registered issued by the Commonwealth of Virginia Board of Nursing.
