- Registered Dietitians provide nutritional care and medical nutrition therapy for individuals and groups in institutional, clinic, research, community and residential settings and provide nutrition education to clients/patients and families in accordance with accepted professional practices and standards.
- This recruitment may be used to fill current and future vacancies as they occur in the following program: Nevada Early Intervention Services (NEIS).
- Incumbents perform screening, evaluations, assessments, reassessments, and diagnostics for children ages birth to three years, with or at risk of disabilities; make recommendations for the development of the Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP); and independently provide and monitor nutritional care, diet therapy, and nutrition education to patients and families.
- Incumbents will prepare and provide workshops, in-service training, and Technical Assistance, presentations, and oversee early intervention workgroups.
- The mission of ADSD is to provide leadership and advocacy in the planning, development, and delivery of high quality, comprehensive support service system across the lifespan to allow all of Nevada's elders, children and adults with disabilities or special health care needs, to live independent, meaningful, and dignified lives to the greatest extent possible.
