- The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills to assess the situation in various contexts and adapt existing standards to the specific context of refugee resettlement in the US. They will have a background in gender and/or LGBTQIA+ support, social work or counseling, youth and family support, adult education, capacity building and demonstrated skills in developing resource materials that can be user-friendly for staff and partners.
- Supports affiliate relationships and provides oversight, capacity training and technical assistance to implementing sites related to GBV, child protection and welfare, displaced youth, and LGBTQIA+ populations; offers creative solutions to programming difficulties.
- Provides thought leadership to support the advancement of holistic services and integration of GBV, LGBTQIA+, and child welfare and youth intervention programs across the HIAS network, contributing to strategy, grant proposals and program expansion.
- Lived experience as a refugee or immigrant will bring a valuable perspective.
