- Reporting to the Assistant Director of the African Studies Center (ASC), the Program Administrator assists the ASC Director and Assistant Director with all administrative and program matters.
- This includes program administration, event planning, financial management, supervision of student employees, faculty appointment processing, coordinating and marketing, website maintenance, financial aid processing, outreach, and other duties as assigned.
- Works with the Director and the Assistant Director of the African Studies Center and Pardee School staff to ensure smooth administration.
- Works on administrating and managing ASC events; orders supplies, educational materials, and equipment; responsible for the upkeep of the ASC offices and community space and managing proprietary classrooms; prepares and submits faculty actions appointments through the Pardee School Dean's Office; prepares visa applications for all ASC faculty through ISSO; assists with all scheduling of classes, room scheduling, student evaluations, etc.
- offered by ASC language instructors; provides recommendations on equipment purchases; communicates directly with Facilities Maintenance & Planning on routine maintenance issues and IT on computer or classroom issues; ensures that the ASC office is fully functional and supplied at all times; hire, manage, and schedule the student employees who work in ASC.
