- Description Provides oversight and direction of the administrative activities and patient care services of the Retinal Disorders and Ophthalmic Genetics (RDOG) Division of the UCLA Department of Ophthalmology, which consist of 4 full-time faculty members and one clinical fellows.
- Responsible for the management of daily operations for patient care services at the JSEI including the services provided by the Visual Physiology Laboratory and the Ophthalmic Genetic Counseling Program.
- Provides oversight for operation of patient care facilities and associated patient service resources, including the Visual Physiology Laboratory and the Ophthalmic Genetic Counseling Program.
- Coordinates and oversees the patient care activities of the RDOG, including: recruitment, supervision and training of staff; daily monitoring and reconciliation of patient billing and revenue generated through outpatient clinical services, including the Visual Physiology Laboratory and the Ophthalmic Genetic Counseling Program; and the development of effective administrative systems for patient appointment scheduling and the delivery of patient care.
- Supervise patient flow in clinic, and ensure that the Division provides high quality 'concierge level' patient care.
