- The research group aims to understand how the activation of immune system impacts the progression of neurological diseases, with current focuses on two directions: 1) elucidating the cytokine-mediated signaling pathways that promote neuroinflammation; 2) investigating the role of immune-glial cell interactions in brain recovery following ischemic stroke.
- The group uses genetically modified mouse strains, in vivo models, advanced imaging techniques, next generation sequencing, and various cellular assays to address our scientific questions.
- What you’ll do: Conducting neuroimmunology-related research, such as animal experiments, primary cell culture, and experiments that employ various cell and molecular biology techniques, with minimal supervision.
- Cell culture techniques Standard cell and molecular biology techniques, such as DNA and RNA purification, cloning, PCR, western blotting Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
