- Plans, implements, directs, manages, and provides strategic oversight to highly specialized professional design and planning expertise to NCR PBS employees.
- Responsible for enhancement of PBS performance by providing regional leadership in design advocacy and implementing high standards of design quality in architecture, landscape architecture, urban and regional planning, interior design, historic preservation, public art, fine arts conservation, and environmental compliance.
- Serves as regional expert and advocate for excellence in architectural and urban design on relevant projects, with focus on site security design, public space design and programming, and other acute needs of the Washington, D.C. area.
- Advises the Regional Commissioner on policies and procedures that would improve regional performance in meeting GSA's responsibilities under the National Historic Preservation Act in coordination with the PBS Central Office team.
- Provides advice and counsel to GSA regional and national leadership on significant architectural design, urban planning, and preservation issues, to incorporate best practices region-wide and to develop effective solutions for high profile projects.
