- The Radiation Oncology Section Chief or local oncologist review medical records and clinical practice of the Radiation Oncology PA.

- Clinical activities may include, but are not limited to: (1) Clinical assessment and evaluation of patients (2) Health care management of assigned veteran patients with acute and chronic illnesses (3) Ordering and interpreting laboratory and diagnostic studies (4) Consultation and referrals (5) Performing or assisting with marker seed placement, volume studies, and other minor procedures performed in the clinic setting.
- 6) Health promotion and disease prevention (7) Patient, family, and staff education and counseling (8) Clinical research (9) Informed consent (10) Administrative activities, including performance improvement activities, committee, and task force assignments, and administrative, research, and non-clinical tasks as assigned.
- 11) Participation in patient care before, during and after radiation therapy, including formulation of survivorship plans as part of follow up care.
