- Summary Peer Recovery Partner Supporting the Lewiston Community, St. Mary's Hospital A Peer Recovery Partner provides one-on-one support and outreach to people in the community, at their homes, and/or at the location where the peer works, such as substance use treatment programs or emergency department.
- It is required that a person has experienced substance use challenges as part of their life story to be employed as a Peer Recovery Partner.
- This position is a remote hybrid, with 3 days in the office.
- Position Highlights: Base hourly rate: $17.75 Growth: Largest Employer in the State and the largest Healthcare provided in Northern New England What you will do: Develop Peer Support relationships with people requesting support through one-on-one meetings and telephone conversations via the Intentional Peer Support model Practice with individuals a “multiple pathways to recovery” approach in a humanizing and uplifting manner.
- Collaborate with substance use peer support team to stay current on relevant training materials on harm reduction, domestic violence, poverty, and navigating advocacy in healthcare systems Responsibilities Manage conflict appropriately, within the team and with people in the program Receive and remain current on training as a Recovery Coach and/or Intentional Peer Support Specialist.
