- Reporting to the Director of Payroll, the Payroll Specialist will be part of approximately a 30 person multistate Human Resources team providing a wide range of support to the department and its 1200+ US multistate employees.
- Calculating and balancing earnings and deduction totals, preparing payroll entries, garnishments, and calculating paid leave of absence payments, inspecting automated system output such as registers and standard reports.
- Manage various Leave of Absence payroll related tasks
- Submit Employment Verifications and Leave of Absence claims to State agencies upon request.
- Meet biweekly with the Leave Manager to review the status of Leave of Absence claims and payments
