A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A PATROL OFFICER As a Patrol Officer, you patrol assigned areas to maintain order, prevent illegal activity, enforce laws, and protect the community. Also, you investigate various misdemeanor and felony cases, mediate disputes, and respond to other calls for service. You participate in community policing programs and work closely with local businesses, schools, and charity organizations. QUALIFICATIONS Ability to pass a standard test POST certification is preferred but not required.
